Checking Kaspersky Activation Code Validity: Steps and Tips

Like other antivirus software, Kaspersky also requires an activation code to activate its products. For instance, you will need to enter the activation code to activate your Kaspersky Internet Security or Antivirus.

How To Check Kaspersky Activation Code Validity

My Kaspersky, a service from Kaspersky Lab, enables you to check the validity of Kaspersky activation codes. The best thing is that you can also use this service to know which Kaspersky product a license is for. That is, you can know whether an activation code is for Kaspersky Antivirus, Kaspersky Internet Security or Kaspersky Total Security product.

After adding a valid activation code, you can see on how many devices the activation code can be used and how many days the validity is remaining. Besides that, the page also displays the Kaspersky product for which the activation code is valid.

If the installed application does not identify your previous license on your computer, a window asking to enter your previous activation code will appear. The renewal validation procedure is described in the 3.4 point of EULA. License renewal can be purchased with a discount. To validate that you purchased a commercial product version in the past, you must specify the activation code for the purchased product version. If you purchased a license renewal instead of a commercial version by mistake, the license will be active for a paid time period that is about 8 months.*

You may need an activation code for your Kaspersky application not only for activation after the purchase but also for installation on a different device or in case any license problems occur. You can find the instructions on where you can find an activation code in this article. If it is not possible to find the code, you can recover it.

If the application was connected to your account on My Kaspersky, you can send the activation code to your email. For instructions on how to connect the application to the My Kaspersky account, see this article.

An activation code is a code you receive when you buy a license for a Kaspersky application. It consists of 20 digits and is divided into blocks in the following way: ХХХХХ-ХХХХХ-ХХХХХ-ХХХХХ. The code is used for activating the license.

The validity period of the activation code is the period during which you can activate the application with this code. If an activation code has never been applied to a computer, it has an unlimited validity period, unless otherwise stated on the box or website when purchasing.

A key is a sequence of 32 Latin characters and digits in the format ХХХХХXXX-ХХХХ-ХХХХ-ХХХХ-XXXXXXXXXXXX. The key is needed in order to recover a lost activation code or to renew the license at a discount.

When you still have an active license that has not yet expired, you can add a new activation code as a reserve activation code. You can add it so that your protection is not paused when your current code expires. As soon as your license term ends, your Kaspersky application will be activated automatically with the new activation code.

Normally, the email message with the activation code is delivered within an hour. If you did not receive the message or entered a wrong email address, contact us or our retail partners. For instructions, see this this article.

If you license has not yet expired, you can add a new activation code as a reserve activation code. This means the code will not get lost. Once your license term ends, Kaspersky Small Office Security will be activated automatically with the new activation code.

The validity period of the activation code begins from the first time it is activated. If the code is intended to be used on multiple computers, the validity period will begin when it is activated on the first computer.

The license is provided for a specific number devices, not a specific number of activations. For example, if your activation code covers five computers, you will not be able to use the license on six or more computers at the same time.

With most Kaspersky Lab software products, there are two numbers you will need to authenticate your software and to keep it up to date. The first number is your activation code. This is the number you receive when you purchase the product. Once you activate the product with your activation code, you will be issued a license key. In the event you ever lose your activation code, you can use the license key, also known as the Kaspersky key to restore your license.

If you purchase the product online, the activation code is emailed to you. If you purchased the product in a store, the code is either in the documentation that came with the product, or on the case containing the installation disk. If you bought a license renewal card, the code is on the reverse side of the card.

If you have lost your activation code, you can use the product's license key to get another copy. Contact Kaspersky Lab's technical support with your license key to get a new activation code. On the client-side, there are a number of extensions to Firefox that can make browsing safer. One is NoScript, which only lets JavaScript, Java, and Flash execute on sites you explicitly trust. This way, you can check out a link before deciding to let it run arbitrary code. As well, Google provides a Firefox plugin based on data they have gathered about various phishing sites, that will alert a user when they are about to visit a known XSS site. 2ff7e9595c
